Islander Sets New Speed Record

Islanders may move at a slower pace, perhaps, than off-islanders but there is no one in the country who is as fast as this dude. Robert Douglas, sailing in the 2009 Luderitz Speed Challenge, has once again set a new outright speed sailing record for the country.

Zephrus Feeds Rich and Poor

Not in the same dining room, of course, that would be anarchy. But through their nightly dessert special the restaurant has raised more than $8,000 for the Island Food Pantry. Stab Ahoy

An altercation on Main Street in Vineyard Haven last night led to one injury, reportedly a stabbing. Police are tight lipped at this point and we will have to wait until the morning to get something concrete. VT will update this story as soon as we can.
