At the committee hearings on the Kerry-Boxer Bill last week, Democrats dutifully trotted out Fawn Sharp, president of the Quinault Indian Nation of Alaska, who assured us that climate change would affect Native Americans more than most others.

I'm back. And just in time to save Guantanamo. From what? From the idiot congressmen who are holding up the program. The latest death, the suicide of a Yemeni national, only drives home that America, with our tax dollars, has built a little piece of hell on Earth and it needs to be closed, now.

When we were busy, we were busy. Ten hours a day was de rigueur. Now, I am lucky to be working a solid eight and not sure how long that will last. But my spirits are high, and it has nothing to do with the holiday or any synthetic, spirit-elevating substances. Simply, I am doing work I love in a way I haven’t done it before.

I know this may not be the most locally relevant opinion to put out there but I have been listening to a lot of NPR at work and I feel like the auto industry is being sold a little short.
